Digital PCR

Digital PCR is a method for absolute quantification and rare allele detection that partitions a sample into many small individual real-time PCR reactions. Digital PCR methodology allows for highly accurate copy number variation due to simultaneous quantification of both the gene of interest and a reference gene through use of a different fluorescent dye for each assay. We utilize the Fluidigm BioMark Genetic Analysis system and the 48.770 Digital Array IFC, capable of performing up to 770 individual PCR reactions for up to 48 individual samples per run.
